Research project at the island Veruda completed

During April 2016 the field part of the project "The analysis of modern documentation methods: a case study of a shipwreck off Veruda island, Pula" was completed.

President of the Republic of Croatia visited ICUA Zadar

President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovi?, visited ICUA Zadar on 5th of April 2016, during her four-day visit to the City of Zadar and the Zadar County. Employees of the ICUA center had the opportunity to show the president the underwater archaeological finds exhibited in the Gallery of underwater archeology and explain the scope of work of the center.

Excavation of Veruda shipwreck has begun

ICUA Zadar is conducting survey of the post medieval shipwreck off island Veruda near Pula during April 2016. The survey is conducted in cooperation with the German Archaeological Institute and the University of Dresden.

Successful Museum Night event at the ICUA Zadar Gallery

The famous Museum Night event was also marked by the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar this year.

Course for Conservation and Restoration of Underwater Archaeological Finds finished

During November and December 2015 at the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar a two-week introductory course of conservation and restoration of underwater archaeological finds trough ICUA program was held.
