For the second year in a row, the Illyrian Coastal Exploration Program in cooperation with ICUA conducted an underwater field school for archaeology and ecology. For two weeks (June 16-28), five students from USA, UK, and Germany visited several underwater sites and practiced exercises according to the school´s programme. |

The Piruzi rock late roman shipwreck excavation
A team comprised of ICUA Zadar and Bayern Society for Underwater Archaeology divers started the Piruzi rock late roman shipwreck excavation last week. Altogether 11 divers has set the quadrant grid and documented and excavated remains of amphorae and oder pottery.

Underwater archaeology conference organized DEGUWA finished
Annual Conference of the German Society of Underwater Archaeology DEGUWA was held from 20th - 23rd of April 2014. Lectures at the conference were held by about forty experts from over 10 different countries, and overall, the conference has brought together around hundred of interested visitors. |
